The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization’s Africa House supports Portland’s growing African refugee and immigrant populations. Located in East Portland, Africa House provides access to a range of services through a one-stop, multilingual, community-based center serving African refugees and immigrants of all ages and their families.
Staff of Africa House participated in a series of video interviews and had their photos taken by members of the East Portland Action Plan Equity Stories Project. In the interviews, they talked about the African community in Portland, the work of Africa House, and the role of equity and storytelling.
